THE INGREDIENTS BEHIND THE FINDER

A growing catalogue.
A careful process.

Use Google Sheets as your editorial database. Bots gather product labels into a draft queue; reviewed, country-specific records power the finder. This page previews public data in your browser—it is not an authenticated administration system.

Private preview is active

The finder now uses a snapshot of 492 real foods from the Google Sheet, authorized by the owner for private testing on October 14, 2026. It includes 78 Amazon product links and 414 manufacturer product or where-to-buy routes. Final package and retailer formula checks remain documented. Sheet edits do not automatically refresh this snapshot.

01 · Start with the right columns

Download the CSV template and import it into a new Google Sheet. Keep the header names unchanged. Use one row per formula, pet type and country. A Canadian formula and a US formula need separate records, even if the product name is the same.

The research queue contains real manufacturer URLs identified during initial research. It is not an approved ingredient database, and none of its records are used for food matches.

02 · Preview your Google Sheet

In Google Sheets, use File → Share → Publish to web, choose the catalogue tab and Comma-separated values (.csv), then publish. Paste that public CSV URL here. A “Share with anyone” editing link is not the same as a published CSV.

This saves the public sheet URL only in this browser. To use the catalogue for every visitor, set catalogue_csv_url in the Site’s config.json and deploy an update. No Google account access or private Sheet connection has been configured. Never publish account credentials, customer information or personal details.
Or preview a CSV file from your computer

If a published sheet can’t be fetched in the browser, download its CSV and import it here. The data stays in this browser; it doesn’t update the shared website.

03 · Review before release

New bot records must start with status=draft. A reviewer checks the full ingredients, the nutritional life-stage statement and local product evidence, then approves the row. Copying the recipe title or just the first five ingredients is not enough.

id
Stable record ID. Unique within each country; don’t change when a label is updated.
brand / recipe
Exact manufacturer brand and product name.
pet / country / format
cat or dog; CA or US; wet or dry.
life_stages
Use growth, adult, or manufacturer-designated senior. Separate multiple approved stages with |. Keep growth evidence, including large-breed restrictions, in the review process.
ingredients
Full current, country-specific ingredient declaration, including oils, flavours, additives and parenthetical sources. Preserve exact wording.
ingredients_complete
Only true passes the publication gate.
ambiguity_reviewed
Only true passes; the engine still holds out vague flavours, animal sources and relevant unspecified species.
source_url
HTTPS link to the manufacturer’s exact formula page or label.
availability_url
HTTPS source documenting a listing in this country. The listing must be the same formula; current stock is not guaranteed.
checked_at
Valid YYYY-MM-DD review date within the last 90 days. Future dates and stale records are held out.
reviewed_by / status
Reviewer identifier and approved after verification. Use a team alias if the sheet is public.
amazon_url / walmart_url
Optional product or search links on the correct country domain. Affiliate tracking can be included once your affiliate account is approved. Prefer exact product links.

Initial research queue

Eight product pages found at manufacturer sources. Full labels and country-specific listings still need to be collected. These are research targets, not food recommendations.

Advertising & affiliate setup

The finder has a labelled ad placement and supports Amazon and Walmart product links on each approved row. Organic product sorting is kept independent of affiliate commissions.

No ad account, payment flow, affiliate ID, private data store, bot scheduler or analytics provider is connected in this preview.
